A Small Town Engagement Session- Stephani and Ryan

Stephani and Ryan are two musicians who bond over the N.Y. Rangers and craft beer. Can you ask for a cooler couple?

Stephani and Ryan spend a lot of time at his parents’ summer home in Point Lookout. Point Lookout is a very small town right past Jones Beach where everyone knows each other. They have small bars and great little dining spots. After spending a few summers there together, it was only appropriate to photograph their engagement session there. 

This beautiful little town had so much potential for beautiful photographic backdrops. We started our session walking down the quiet, tree-lined streets. Each neighbor walking by made sure to congratulate them on their engagement. By the time we made it to the beach, the sun was in the perfect location for golden hour and I couldn’t help but get excited. I kept saying, “Wait, don’t move, just one more, the light is too perfect right now.” 

It was really important to Stephani and Ryan to finish their session in a bar, sharing a beer together. So we took a quick bike ride down the road, camera gear on my back and enjoyed a cold one together. 

Stephani and Ryan’s images are some of my favorite ones from this summer. They are going to be so much fun to work with on their wedding day!
